Parks and
Recreation
| A river runs through it, so do
miles of paved State biking/hiking/skating trails. You can
canoe and kayak on two different rivers and a number of
small lakes. Downhill and cross-country skiers have trails
virtually in their back yards. Public and private golf
facilities are second to none. Horses seem at home along the
country roads. Residents camp, play games and take a family
picnic without ever leaving the area. This is what they mean
by the leisurely pace of Rockford living. It is one of the
major reasons that many people visit, live and work here. |
